Two Independent Investigations Into St. Louis VA Hospital Launched

(St. Louis, MO) -- The federal government has launched two independent investigations into a St. Louis VA hospital that may have exposed some 18-hundred dental patients to HIV and other viruses. Sara Howard, a spokeswoman for Missouri Congressman Russ Carnahan, says the independent investigations will help get all the information out about the problems at John Cochran VA Medical Center. Aside from that, Howard says the investigations were necessary because of worries the VA's own internal investigation would not be truly unbiased.
